Bio: Mary A. Rabon is a Citizen Journalist and Board Member at Communities Creating Opportunity (CCO) in Kansas City, Missouri. She also serves as volunteer/grassroots/community activist, 18th Ward Committeewoman and Secretary of the Tri-Blenheim Neighborhood Association. At CCO, Ms. Rabon trains grassroots community members to participate in civic life and affect social change locally, working with more than 24 congregations and 18,000 families throughout Kansas City. Ms. Rabon is involved Internet-based social change and media reform groups such as MoveOn.org and ColorofChange.org. She is on the Communications and Care and Nurture Committees at St. James United Methodist Church, where she is a longtime member.
