Bio: James H. Dean is the chair of one year-old Democracy for America (DFA), and is committed to carrying on what his brother, Governor Howard Dean, started – strengthening grassroots participation; and the recruitment and election of fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates to all levels of government. He previously worked on Howard Dean's presidential campaign, and supported his brother’s candidacies for Vermont governor and lieutenant governor. Jim, his wife and three children live in Fairfield, Conn.
