Contact Jim

Bio: Jim spends most of his time at the cutting edge of language, culture, and miscommunication. When he is not traveling through exotic places from Bayonne to Bangkok, he can be found consulting on localization workflow, global brand management, and strategies for user experience.

Having started Prisma International in 1982, Jim’s primary focus for twenty-five years has been helping clients navigate the tricky waters of global communication. He has spoken internationally on topics ranging from global technical communication to the emerging role of the translation coordinator, from developing global brands to multilingual information architectures. His client successes include Best Buy, Johnson & Johnson, American Express, Fair Isaac, Medtronic, Kodak, 3M, General Mills, and Motorola.

Jim is an active member of the translation and technical communication business community, having served on the Board of Directors of the (global) Society for Technical Communication and President of the (local) STC-Twin Cities Chapter.
