The IEEE symposium on Computers and Communications started in 1995 in response to the growing interaction between the fields of computers and communications. ISCC takes place annually, typically in the beginning of July. Symposium locations include Egypt, Greece, France, Tunis, and Italy with plans for other sites in the Mediterranean region.

Sessions will include tutorials in addition to presentations on new research results. Papers describing original work are invited in any of the computers and communications areas described in the call for papers will be considered. Accepted papers will be published in Proceedings of IEEE ISCC 2008 and in the IEEE digital library. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality. Best Paper Award and best Simulation paper Award will be presented.
